These terms and conditions outline the expectations related to learning Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning. Please read this page in its entirety.

Informed consent and liability:

• Method efficacy and limitations: While the Marquette Method has a high effectiveness rate, it is not 100% foolproof and various factors can affect its outcome. Effectiveness rates are based on research, but individual results can differ.

• Liability waiver: I am not liable for any unintended pregnancy or other outcomes. I am providing instruction, and those receiving the instruction are responsible for applying the method correctly. All clients should acknowledge the possibility of pregnancy can occur as a result of sexual intercourse.

Confidentiality and privacy

• HIPAA and privacy: As a Marquette Method Student Teacher (MMST) and Registered Nurse, I am a healthcare professional. I am required to follow the privacy standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). I promise to keep all client information, including charting data and personal details, confidential. I will not disclose this information to anyone without the client's express written consent, except where required by law.

• Data: As a Marquette Method Student Teacher, I will keep anonymized client statistics for collaborating with my preceptor and for teacher certification purposes. Clients can be assured that their personal information will not be shared.
